(MENAFN) The Director of the Infrastructure at the Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC), Andrew Seymour, said that the company granted a contract to Bahrain-based Arcapita and Dalkia to construct the region’s largest district cooling project in Abu Dhabi, reported Arab News.
Seymour said that the project would include building of 3 plants and it would provide a capacity of 50,000 tons of refrigeration (177 MW) and would supply a 27-square-kilometers area.
Seymour added that both companies would be responsible for the design, build, finance, operation and maintenance of the plants.
It is worth noting that TDIC is considered a master developer of tourism, cultural and residential projects in Abu Dhabi.
