(MENAFN) Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the company responsible of managing and operating Bahrain International Airport (BIA), signed a deal with BEONTRA, a Lockheed Martin company, Gulf Daily News reported.
The deal, which focuses on implementing a new route analysis tool, will help BAC calculate, analyze and present the most suitable routes for airlines with the ability to recalculate or fix on demand.
This deal represents the first one made by BEONTRA in the region for this particular system, which is considered to be a key element in Lockheed Martin”s vision of creating new airport technological solutions.
BIA is considered to be a primary hub for the Gulf region, serving more than 7.3 million passengers in 2013, as well as being a major airport for transit traffic from Europe to the Middle East and Asia.
