(MENAFN) Bahrain is making efforts to enhance its tourism sector, which has been affected by years of political instability and hopes to grow its number of visitors to 36.2pct by 2018.
However, the kingdom’s economy has suffered from a decline in oil prices that started in mid-2014 as well as occasional demonstrations.
The Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority engaged with a number of public authorities and private sector organizations over recent months.
Meanwhile, the country is promoting its hotels, leisure attractions and increasing its spending on tourism infrastructure.
