(MENAFN) Bahrain International Airport announced it registered a 25 percent increase in its passenger traffic during the month of August compared to the same month last year, Gulf Daily News reported.
The airport said that a total of 825.903 passengers have travelled through the airport up until now this year, an increase which is mostly attributed to Gulf Air launching new destinations like Trivandrum in India and Sialkot in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, a number of new carriers including Pegasus Airlines, Zagros Airlines, and Taban Air, have launched regular services to Bahrain International Airport, while other carriers such as Iran Air and Iraqi Airways resumed operations to Bahrain.
