(MENAFN) Abdul Aziz Jassim Kanoo, Board Chairman at Bahrain-based Al Jazeera Tourism Company, unveiled the company’s plans to upgrade one of its properties; the Novotel Al Dana Resort, in a $53.3 million expansion project, Trade Arabia reported.
According to Kanoo, the new resort located in Muharraq, will be called the Pullman Bahrain, in line with the classification policy of the operating company; Accor Hotels, and will have a twin-tower, 23-storey structure, consisting of 146 rooms and 65 apartments.
Additionally, the hotel buildings would be 75 meters tall and built in the existing car park area, covering an area of 40,390 square meters, and will host a four-level car part with space for 302 vehicles, said the Chairman.
Kanoo added that the civil works for the mentioned project will cost $24.3 million, whereas the renovation, upgrade and furnishing of existing and new wings would cost another $31.7 million.
