(MENAFN) Bahraini Energy Minister, Abdulhussain bin Ali Mirza, stated that the National Oil and Gas Authority (NOGA) received bids from nine international companies for supplying the Kingdom with up to 800 million cubic feet of liquefied natural gas (LNG) on a daily basis, reported Akhabr Al-Khaleej.
Mirza said that a thorough study and evaluation for the bids would take till the end of 2011, and then the winner would be announced.
The minister pointed out that such strong interest in a Bahraini contract reflects the stability of Bahrain’s economy, despits the political unrest that the country had faced recently.
