Bahraini Batelco Group, Canadian Star Solutions sign partnership agreement

(MENAFM) Batelco Group signed an agreement with Star Solutions in which the Canadian company is set to implement GSM/LTE mobile networks for Batelco Group’s operations in the South Atlantic region, Sure South Atlantic, Gulf Daily News reported.

The LTE-enabled network is set to jibe with customers urging demands for mobile services in the South Atlantic, especially for St Helena and Ascension Island. The investment is part of a continual plan to build and improve Batelco’s networks.

“This major project for Sure South Atlantic will see the launch of mobile networks in St Helena and Ascension Island, providing mobile broadband capability and superior voice quality for our customers there,” Sure South Atlantic’s chief executive said.
