(MENAFN) In a report based on a study of over 650 companies across GCC, Kuwait Financial Centre (Markaz) forecasts a growth of the Bahraini companies’ earnings by 10 percent in 2014, Gulf Daily News reported.
The total earnings of the GCC firms during 2013 registered USD59.2 billion, while earnings during the second half registered USD29.3 billion, the report revealed.
Strong performance from financial services, real estate, construction, telecommunications and conglomerates were the main reason behind the strong earnings of the second half.
Mrkaz expects economic activities in the region to grow stronger, driven mainly by the Dubai Expo 2020 and FIFA World cup 2022.
