BBK, a leader in retail and corporate banking in the Kingdom of Bahrain, and CrediMax, a wholly owned subsidiary of BBK, have announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Batelco by Beyon, Bahrain’s leading telecommunications provider. In line with the MoU, the three parties will collaborate to deliver an enriched experience to customers through a suite of integrated digital and value-added services.
The MoU is centered on the development of a series of coordinated initiatives including the alignment of BBK, Credimax and Batelco’s loyalty programmes as well as the roll out of joint marketing campaigns with co-branded presence at key events.
Further expanding the scope of this collaboration, the three companies will also explore opportunities to offer exclusive and value-driven propositions to each other’s customers. These may include flexible purchasing options—such as the ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ installment plan when acquiring Batelco products and services using BBK and CrediMax credit cards—as well as other initiatives that enhance customer choice, convenience, and overall value.
Mr. Yaser Alsharifi, Group Chief Executive of BBK, stated: “This MoU with Batelco marks a significant step in deepening the integration between the financial and telecommunications sectors. By combining our strengths, we are creating a new standard for customer experience—one that is innovative, convenient, and digitally enabled. We are pleased to embark on this collaboration, which not only strengthens our leadership in integrated digital financial services but also expands the range of tailored solutions we offer to a broader customer base.”
Mr. Alsharifi added: “Through this partnership, we aim to offer exclusive benefits to clients of all three institutions while enhancing convenience and value. This reflects our broader strategy to build strong alliances with leading organizations across key sectors, enabling us to elevate our service offering and deliver a more comprehensive and enriching banking experience.”
Batelco Chief Executive Officer Mr. Maitham Abdulla said: “We are pleased to join forces with BBK and CrediMax in this forward-looking collaboration. Together, we will focus on designing and delivering innovative, customer-centric solutions that respond to the evolving demands of the digital era. Through this partnership, we aim to activate a range of strategic initiatives built on our combined product offerings and shared commitment to excellence, and we look forward to driving mutual growth and delivering measurable impact for our customers.”
