Al Hayrat, BBK’s unique savings account that provides ample opportunities to its customers to win prizes while they save, has made the announcement everyone has been waiting for. The 2009 grand prize draw, which offers Bahrain’s biggest lump sum cash prize of $500,000 was carried on the 18th January 2010  under the supervision of Mr. Yasser Buallay Ministry of Commerce Representative in the presence of BBK officials from the Retail Banking, Retail Marketing, Internal Audit, and Internal Control representatives.

Mr. Hussain Ebrahim Fathi who is 54 years of age, an employee with Gulf Air and a loyal BBK customer since 1991 was the lucky winner of the Al Hayrat 2009 Grand Prize. The handover ceremony was hosted on 26th January 2010 at the Bank’s Main branch with the handover of the prize money by Mr. Abdulkarim Bucheery – CE in the presence of Sh. Rashed Al Khalifa – GM- Business Group and Mr. Reyadh Sater – GM- Support Group, in addition to Executive and senior management from the Bank. In keeping with its annual tradition and true celebrity style, Mr. Fathi was escorted from his home in a stretch limousine and was received to a red carpet welcome at the Main branch.

At the ceremony, Mr Fathi expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation towards the Banks’ customer service staff who have been extremely helpful and dear friends through out the years. He also extended his thanks to the Banks’ management for all their efforts in providing such wonderful services and products to their customers.
