BBK, a leader in retail and corporate banking in the Kingdom of Bahrain, organized
a special event in celebration of Bahraini Women’s Day. The event took place at
Onyx Rotana Hotel and was attended by the Bank’s female employees from
various departments and divisions.
This initiative reflects BBK’s deep appreciation for the pivotal role Bahraini women
play in driving national progress and its strong commitment to fostering an
environment where women can thrive, lead and contribute across all professional
fields. It also aligns with the vision of the Supreme Council for Women, led by Her
Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Consort of His Majesty
the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women. Through this vision,
national efforts continue to advance the status of Bahraini women, celebrate their
achievements, and expand their active participation in shaping the Kingdom’s
future across every sector.
The event featured a diverse program of activities showcasing the experiences,
challenges, and accomplishments of women, highlighting powerful stories of
resilience, success, and leadership across various fields. It also provided a
meaningful platform to reflect on the progress Bahraini women have achieved over
the years and the significant value they continue to add in leadership and
managerial roles. This was presented through dynamic and interactive sessions
that illuminated remarkable female experiences and offered deeper insight into
the talents, contributions and growing influence of Bahraini women, particularly
within the financial and banking sector.
On this occasion, Mrs. Najwa Al Ahmed, Head of Human Resources and
Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Committee at BBK, extended her heartfelt
congratulations to the Bank’s female employees, describing Bahraini Women’s
Day as a national celebration that honors the influential and impactful presence
of women across all fields. She stated: “BBK remains committed to implementing
innovative programs and initiatives that reflect its well-established approach to

promoting equality and empowering women. We continue to cultivate a work
environment that recognizes female talent as a central pillar of growth and
sustainable success.”
Mrs. Al Ahmed added: “Celebrating this day reflects BBK’s institutional approach,
which places strong emphasis on investing in human capital, reinforcing the
principles of equal opportunity, and enabling women to advance into leadership
roles within the Bank. We remain dedicated to supporting our female employees
through specialized training and professional development programs, while
cultivating an environment that honors their achievements, nurtures their
aspirations, and strengthens their participation in decision-making. Bahraini
women have already proven their excellence, capability, and the significant
impact they bring as a driving force for development and prosperity across the
Kingdom’s financial and banking institutions.”
