In its endeavor to promote the culture of continuous learning and encourage employees to constantly upgrade their educational acumen and enhance their expertise, BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in Retail and Commercial Banking, honored to 9 of its employees who have graduated in 2016-2017, of which 5 with distinction and received their Master degree in various majors such as Finance, Business Administration and Human Resources from reputed universities. On this occasion, the Bank organized a luncheon where the latest cohort of graduates were honored by BBK Chief Executive, Mr. Reyadh Yousif Sater in the presence of members of the executive management.
Mr. Reyadh Sater addressed the honorees saying: “ It gives me such a pride to see more and more of our employees aiming for higher education, especially in today’s fast-paced lifestyle. With work and family commitments, employees who manage to increase their educational level are a real example of ambitious, determined and above all committed employees who strive to enhance themselves, for themselves, for their families, and without doubt for their organization and country as a whole. I would like to congratulate our last batch of graduates and praise their efforts for learning and their loyalty for growing with BBK”
In addition to the recent graduates, the Bank is proud to have over 100 employees who have Masters and PhD from distinguished universities from around the world, with most of them being given the opportunity to pursue their higher education while at BBK. Worth mentioning that 18 years ago, when the BIBF (Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance), strategically collaborated with DePaul University, offering a variety of different Masters programmes, BBK was amongst the first institutions to have employees graduating from these programmes in Bahrain. Today, the Bank counts 20 DePaul Masters graduates, in Business Administration, Human Resources Management and Finance.
Since inception, BBK has invested heavily to create a pool of employees who are highly experienced, and equipped to be leaders in the Banking and financial sector. Through the hiring of highly qualified professionals, through the investment in programmes such as the Management Trainee Development programme, through supporting employees to enroll in higher education programmes, and last but not least the recently launched BBK E-learning platform, BBK is proud to have a human capital that is distinguished by its qualification, expertise and professionalism.
The list of 2016-2017 graduates include 6 from DePaul University and 3 from other highly reputed universities. The graduates are Batool Sayed Jafar Sharaf, Latifa Abdulla Al Sadeh, Mohamed Abdulla Bucheery, Abdulrahman Abdulla Buheji, Maryam Ebrahim Al Sharbati, Zeyad Abdulmunem Zainal, Shafi Ahmed AlMannai, Faisal Jafar Darbas and Mohammed Ali Yaseen.
