BBK CELEBRATES MOTHER’S DAY AT PLAY

Manama, Bahrain 3 April 2018: BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, celebrated Mother’s Day by hosting a special Mother’s Day event for BBK mothers and their children at “PLAY”, the popular hands-on children’s activity center located in Seef Mall where the Bank has been sponsoring a miniature “BBK Branch” since 2017.
The fun mums and kids event was held on March 21 between 5pm and 7pm, and provided the Bank’s working mothers with special quality time to enjoy PLAY’s interactive rooms. The center provides rooms where children can role play, such as being ‘Bankers’ at BBK’s miniature branch, or exploring other miniature rooms such as the supermarket, fire station and hospital.
By organizing events such as the aforementioned, BBK highlights the importance of the family unit where the mother is the center of it. Hence, the Bank applauds the significant efforts and contribution that the working mother makes to the workforce and society as a whole, and this event was a small gesture of BBK’s gratitude to all the mothers within the Bank for the amazing work they do on a daily basis.
The ‘BBK Mini Branch’ at PLAY, which was launched last year, was designed so that children can learn the basics of banking, saving and counting in a fun atmosphere. Children can ‘role’ play being a Banker- teller or manager, a customer – pretending to carry out ‘transactions’, such as ATM deposit or withdrawal, and adding the valuables in safe boxes, just like in the real branch, and underscores the Bank’s dedication to being a valuable member of Bahrain’s community.
BBK believes in the Bahraini woman, and considers her as an extremely valuable asset in the Bank’s human resources as she occupies senior management positions in all departments, and is a key element in the continued progress and prosperity of BBK.
