BBK, a leader in retail and corporate banking in the Kingdom of Bahrain, organized an induction day at the Wyndham Grand Manama Hotel to welcome employees from HSBC Middle East – Bahrain Branch.

The Bank welcomed 71 HSBC employees during an event designed to strengthen communication and promote effective integration between both institutions’ teams in preparation for the next phase. This initiative follows BBK’s recent acquisition of HSBC’s retail banking operations in Bahrain and the integration of this business into its own portfolio, reaffirming BBK’s commitment to ensuring a seamless transition for customers and employees alike.

The event provided an ideal opportunity to celebrate the arrival of the new team members, introduce them to BBK’s culture and corporate values, and strengthen direct communication channels between executive management and employees. It also featured a comprehensive overview of the Bank’s strategies and future plans, along with dialogue and interactive sessions designed to foster deeper mutual understanding between the new employees and the various departments across BBK.

Yaser Alsharifi, Group Chief Executive of BBK, welcomed the HSBC employees into the BBK family and emphasized the Bank’s commitment to providing an integrated working environment that enables them to advance with confidence and apply their expertise in support of the Bank’s ambitions and its distinguished position in the financial sector. Alsharifi noted that this approach ensures ongoing delivery of the highest levels of quality and service to BBK’s customers.

“We are delighted to welcome our new colleagues from HSBC into an environment where excellence in customer service stands at the center of our priorities. This gathering represents a pivotal step in strengthening alignment between our teams and unifying efforts toward achieving shared objectives. The event also reflects our vision of building a fully integrated banking institution founded on diverse expertise and skill sets, and our conviction that human capital forms the cornerstone of success in any expansion or integration.”

Alsharifi further highlighted that the addition of HSBC employees brings meaningful value to the wider BBK family, which is built on collaboration, professional respect, and a strong sense of teamwork. He also expressed confidence in the positive impact this integration will have in driving innovation, enhancing operational efficiency, and elevating the overall banking experience for customers.
