BBK launches a new promotional and service platform at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning

BBK, a leader in retail and corporate banking in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced the launch of its new promotional and service platform at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning headquarters in the Diplomatic Area. The initiative aims to strengthen the Bank’s strategic partnership with the Ministry and expand the range of financial and social services available to citizens, supporting national efforts to achieve sustainable development goals and enable Bahraini citizens to own suitable homes with greater ease and flexibility. Via this collaboration, BBK will be the first Bank in the Kingdom of Bahrain to have a physical presence at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning headquarters.

On this occasion, the Bank announced a series of exclusive offers available to visitors of its platform at the Ministry of Housing headquarters. These offers cover a variety of financial products designed to meet the diverse needs of customers, including social housing financing programs such as Mazaya, New Mazaya, Tasheel, Tasheel+, and the Joint Collateral Financing Program, where applicants who submit their requests through the BBK stand will receive cash gifts with every approved financing application of up to BD 1,500, depending on the program type. This initiative aims to encourage citizens to take advantage of the flexible financing solutions offered by the Bank in cooperation with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank.

The offer also includes non-social housing mortgage finance, providing customers with attractive interest rates over a period of up to 30 years, and financing amounts of up to BD 750,000, along with an exclusive BD 1,000 cash gift for every new property acquisition or transfer mortgage application submitted and approved at the stand.

Her Excellency, Mrs. Amna Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, stated: “This collaboration with BBK builds upon our long-standing partnership to design innovative and sustainable financing solutions that empower citizens to achieve their home ownership aspirations with greater ease. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s continued efforts to expand the range of housing services and enhance the efficiency of financial programs available to Bahraini families, in alignment with the priorities of the next development phase and the evolving needs of citizens for modern and suitable housing. We reaffirm our commitment to advancing initiatives that promote social stability, improve wellbeing, and drive comprehensive development in line with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030.”

Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Yaser Alsharifi, Group Chief Executive at BBK, stated: “We are proud to be the first Bank in Bahrain to have this arrangement and to strengthen our collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning through the launch of this new platform, which represents a significant milestone in BBK’s journey of supporting the housing sector. In addition, and as part of BBK’s integrated financial services, the Bank will offer exclusive insurance products which can be availed instantly at the platform and include special discounts on various insurance policies such as 10% off motor insurance premiums, 25% off home insurance premiums, and 20% off travel insurance premiums. The Bank will also provide life insurance packages with flexible tenures and highly competitive rates, available exclusively at the BBK platform.

Moreover, BBK will extend special offers on Personal and Car Finance, featuring competitive interest rates, a six-month grace period, and a 50% discount on life insurance and bank handling fees.

Visitors will also benefit from exclusive credit card offers, including a 0% instalment plan for six months on purchases of BD 100 or more, as well as access to Thameen loyalty points that can be converted into cashback or a wide range of rewards. Cardholders will additionally benefit from exclusive deals and discounts with local and international merchants.

Customers will also be able to open deposit accounts such as Al Hayrat and salary transfer accounts directly at the BBK platform at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning. BBK’s current campaigns include the “12x Salary Transfer” campaign, which allows participants to enter monthly draws to win up to 12 times their salary and the Al Hayrat campaign, which offers total weekly, monthly and grand prizes worth BD 5 million to over 2,000 winners across various customer categories.

The BBK Platform at the Ministry of Housing and Urban planning is available during the working hours of the Ministry and will run until at least the 8th of January 2026
