BBK, a leader in retail and corporate banking in the Kingdom of Bahrain, has announced the introduction of a comprehensive range of global and Islamic investment solutions through the launch of a new suite of HSBC Mutual Funds, now available to BBK customers as part of the Bank’s Wealth Management services.
This initiative aims to provide investors with direct access to international opportunities for growing their wealth by benefiting from the extensive global asset management expertise of HSBC. The announcement follows BBK’s recent completion of the successful acquisition of the retail banking business of HSBC Bank Middle East in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Through this offering, customers gain access to a broad selection of funds that include HSBC Portfolios, HSBC Global Investment Funds, HSBC Islamic Funds and HSBC Global Funds ICAV. The availability of this diversified range of products enhances customers’ ability to build balanced portfolios and tap into global markets through trusted and internationally recognized investment solutions.
Customers can subscribe to these funds by completing the Client Investment Profiling questionnaire through the BBK Mobile App, with the customer’s account required to be funded at the time of application. The minimum investment amount is set at USD 5,000 with the option to increase in increments of USD 1,000. This structure provides investors with flexibility to plan their financial strategies in alignment with both short term and long-term goals. The Bank’s Wealth Management team is also available to support customers with suitable guidance and recommendations to help them select the investment solutions that best match their individual needs.
Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Mohamed Al Rayes, General Manager of Treasury and Investment at BBK, stated: “The introduction of HSBC Mutual Funds reflects the Bank’s commitment to offering high quality global investment opportunities that allow customers to grow their wealth with confidence and transparency. The addition of these funds represents a significant step in broadening BBK’s investment product range, built on international standards in asset management and the expertise of leading global financial institutions.”
Mr. Al Rayes further added, “BBK’s Wealth Management team continues to develop solutions shaped by a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and customer needs, with a clear focus on offering integrated investment experiences that are easily accessible through the Bank’s advanced digital channels. This initiative forms part of the Bank’s ongoing approach to supporting customers in building well diversified long-term portfolios that are better equipped to withstand market fluctuations and achieve sustained financial stability.”
