BBK NEW APPOINTMENT TO-SUPPORT DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

BBK, Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, has announced the appointment of Banking Technology and Operations Expert Mr. Hassan Abouzeid as Group Chief IT & Operations Officer. The appointment of the industry tech veteran supports the Bank’s digital transformation journey a part of which is building a world class fintech enabled team.
Abouzeid brings more than 30 years of Banking Technology and Operations expertise to BBK. Prior to joining the Bank, he was the Chief Digital Officer at Boubyan and Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait, the Chief Information Officer at HSBC Egypt, and a banking technology consultant for multinationals Accenture and Logica.
Mr. Reyadh Yousif Sater, Group Chief Executive of BBK, commented: “We are pleased to announce Hassan’s appointment. His extensive regional and global banking experience will add immense value to the BBK management team as we continue to maximise on latest technologies to deliver an exceptional experience to our valued customers.”
He added: “The regional and global financial services industry is transforming, and Mr. Abouzeid will ensure that BBK remains abreast of industry innovations whilst leading a pool of Fintech enabled talent as the Bank strives to become the digitally powered financial partner of choice.”
