BBK sponsors the “Global Women Economic Forum & Exhibition”

BBK has announced its sponsorship of the “Global Women Economic Forum & Exhibition,” organized by the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Association to celebrate the association’s silver jubilee. The event was held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka Bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa , Wife of His Majesty the King of Bahrain President of the Supreme Council for Women.

This sponsorship reflects BBK’s steadfast commitment to its CSR towards women as key partners in the development of Bahraini society. It aligns with the Bank’s efforts to support, encourage, and promote initiatives aimed at empowering women and raising awareness of their pivotal role in economic and social development. This commitment is part of BBK’s long-standing approach to uphold principles of equal opportunity and gender equality, while enhancing the progress of Bahraini women and highlighting their remarkable contributions across various fields.

During the forum, the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Association honored BBK for its sponsorship, with the accolade being received by Najwa Al Ahmad, Assistant General Manager of Human Resources and Chairperson of the Equal Opportunities Committee at BBK.

As part of the forum’s activities, Bilgun Gurkan, Chief Representative Officer of BBK in Turkiye and the representative of the foreign economic relations board of Türkiye (DEiK), signed a memorandum of understanding with the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Association, aimed at enhancing support for female entrepreneurs in the region and facilitating trade exchanges between the two countries.
