BBK , Bahrain’s pioneer in retail and commercial banking, has been ranked as a leader in Cash Management Services by Global Finance magazine in its annual awards for ‘World’s Best Treasury & Cash Management Banks and Providers 2017’.
After a multi-tier assessment process, BBK joined 55 banks around the world as the best in their respective countries. The award will be presented at the SWIFT International Banking Operations (SIBOS 2017) Seminar in Toronto over October 16-19, regarded as the world’s premier financial services event.
BBK chief executive Reyadh Yousif Sater described the recognition as confirmation of BBK’s status as Bahrain’s leading provider of Cash Management products and services.
“We now have independent evaluation by an international publication on the quality of our Cash Management offering in this market segment,” he said. “This award confirms the value of our BBKCashlink electronic platform and the benefits it brings to Corporates and Institutions by providing a more streamlined and efficient payment and collection workflow, resulting in better management of their cash-flows.
“The platform also gives our customers near real time access to their account information at any time. BBKCashlink is highly secure and accessible through the web from any location around the world.”
BBKCashlink enables the bank’s Commercial and Institutional clients to make multiple types of payments and view all their account-related information from their offices. Since its launch in 2010 the platform has won two major regional awards for Electronic Banking Services – Bahrain e-Content 2011 and Middle East e-Government Excellence 2011.
Criteria for the latest Global Finance award included profitability, market share & reach, customer service, competitive pricing, product innovation, and the extent to which treasury and cash management providers have successfully differentiated themselves from their competitors around core service offering.
The magazine’s publisher and editorial director, Joseph D. Giarraputo, said: “The winners of this award are at the cutting edge of this changing world, providing their clients with the tools they need to best manage their global treasury processes.
“BBK stood out from its peers in services and offerings to clients for cash management following our readers’ poll, input from industry analysts, corporate executives, technology experts and Global Finance’s independent research.”
New York-based Global Finance circulates in 180 countries, with a readership comprising senior corporate and financial officers responsible for making investment and strategic decisions at multinational companies and financial institutions, as well as international portfolio investors responsible for more than 80 percent of all global assets under professional management. Its awards have become a trusted standard of excellence for the global financial community.
