(MENAFN) Bahrain Computer Repair Centre (BCRC)’s operation manager, Sai Krishnan, stated that the centre offered repair and service coupons to people who have old and disused laptops as a part of its recycling plan, reported Gulf Daily News.
Krishnan also said that the BCRC would reuse what it can of the parts of the old laptops, repair what is repairable, and would hand the rest to experts who would dispose of the parts in a safe way that wouldn’t harm the environment.
The operation manager added that laptops discarded in unprofessional ways were dangerous due to the different kinds of toxics and other harmful materials which they contain.
It is worth noting that the company had launched a repair center for reverse logistics, specializing in using goods that were otherwise going to be thrown away, and it succeeded in benefiting many customers so far, said Krishnan.
