(MENAFN) Boeing Middle East president, Jeff Johnson, said that in 2012, the planemaker would hand over more than 20 aircraft to UAE carriers, reported Gulf News.
Johnson added that amongst the carriers, are Emirates, Etihad Airways and flydubai.
He also said that at the current time, carriers in the Middle East have ordered more than 140 B787 Dreamliners, adding that over the coming 20 years, carriers in the region are expected to order over 2,500 airplanes for nearly USD450 billion.
It is worth noting that UAE’s Etihad will be Boeing’s first UAE 787 Dreamliner customer, and will take delivery in 2014.
