(MENAFN) BRF, the seventh biggest food company in the world and the manufacturer of the Sadia brand of frozen foods in the Middle East, announced it has opened a new USD160 million factory in Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Industrial Zone Abu Dhabi (Kizad), employing 1.400 workers, Arabian Business reported.
The company said that the plant will have a production capacity of approximately 70 thousand tons of food products a year including breaded items, pizzas, burgers and other products, with expectations that the new plant will increase BRF revenues from the Middle East to at least 20 percent of its total income by 2020.
“The new plant represents one of the key foundations of BRF’s strategy of commitment and investment to the Middle East region, a fast growing market that is most strategically placed for the internationalization process of BRF products.”, Chairman of BRF said
