Canon ME, Salam Technology to set up a new company in Qatar

(MENAFN) Canon Middle East announced it intends to establish a new company in Qatar in cooperation with Salam Technology, its existing imaging solutions distribution partner, The Peninsula Qatar reported.
The new company will strengthen Canon’s presence in the region by providing Qatari customers the opportunity to receive direct advice on products and services from Canon professionals.
The company is intent on investing in strengthening their presence in this strategically important region in order to become market leader in imaging solutions in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, Salam Technology said that it will continue to manage their existing customer relationships for Canon for the next few months, until the new company is set up, which is expected to be done by the end of this year.
“Building on our close relationship with Salam Technology, we believe that this new strategic step will enable us to be closer to our customers by enhancing our presence in Qatar,” CEO of Canon Middle East said.
