(MENAFN) Central Bank of Bahrain’s Governor Rasheed Al Maraj, met with the chairman of Bahrain Association of Bankers’ (BAB), Abdulkarim Bucheeri, and discussed several banking projects in the country that are coordinated between commercial banks, reported Gulf Daily News.
Al Maraji said that at the top of these projects was the International Bank Account Number that is being implemented at all commercial banks in the country.
In addition, Al Maraj discussed how banks would cooperate on restructuring loans for national in order to let them pursue their businesses.
Al Maraj also said that the central bank supports the BAB in all aspects and encourages the latter to boost its activities at a national level.
