(MENAFN) Ducab’s chairman Ahmad Al Shaikh said that the company is weighing extending its regional reach into Qatar and Saudi Arabia with new production facilities, reported Gulf News.
The company said that both markets have great potential for expansion and that a feasibility study was prepared on a cable manufacturing plant in Saudi Arabia.
Al Shaikh said that no final decision had been made yet.
As for Qatar, Al Shaikh noted that the 2011 Fifa World Cup is driving major infrastructure projects in the country, which gives Ducab many opportunities if a branch was set up there.
