(MENAFN) The Daily Mail & General Trust (DMGT), the company behind the UK’s Daily Mail newspaper, said it bought out Catchpole Communications, the company that manages the UAE-based tabloid paper, 7DAYS, reported the National.
DMGT said that it had had a sixty percent stake in Catchpole Communications that was granted in a USD7.2 deal, and by the new deal, it acquired the remaining 40 percent.
7DAYS is a free tabloid paper. This type of publication has been increasingly popular in the recent years as it reaches a demography that would not be willing to purchase the paper for money.
