(MENAFN) Dubai developer Nakheel has awarded a USD1.09 million contract to ILF Consulting Engineers for sewage treatment plant work at Dubai’s Deira Islands.
By the contract, DIF will supervise the design and construction of the sewage treatment plant, the first phase of which is scheduled for completion by end of the next year.
The second phase will reportedly see the plant’s capacity rise from 20,000 cubic meters per day to 37,000 cubic meters per day, over the period 2022 to 2042.
Nakheel Deira Island’s megaproject is a revamped version of its original Deira Palm and will add 40 kilometres to Dubai’s coastline under current plans.
