28 Apr 2015

(MENAFN) Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (Dewa) is ready to spend USD16.3 billion on utility projects until the year of 2020, according to the CEO and MD of Dewa, Gulf News reported.

The sum is going to be spent over expansion plans to boost Dewa’s power generating capacity by at least 20 percent in order to contain the increasing demands by the customers of Dubai.

“While Dewa currently has a large reserve of electricity and water, the expansion plan aims to promote sustainable development across the emirate,” the CEO and MD of Dewa said in a statement.
