(MENAFN) Dubai Airports, which manages Dubai International and Al Maktoum International Airport, reported that Dubai International Airport comes now at the fourth place in the world in terms of international passenger traffic, reported the National.
Dubai Airports stated that in 2010, Dubai International Airport had 7,000 more travelers than Frankfurt Airport, thus shifting the UAE-based airport to fourth place.
Dubai Airports said that the new rank was a natural result as the airport expanded its fleet at a rate of at least twelve aircrafts per year including crafts such as Boeing 777 or an Airbus A380 superjumbo.
It is worth noting that Dubai International Airport was ranked fourth after airports in London, Paris and Hong Kong.
