Dragon Mart expansion awarded to Dubai’s Kele

(MENAFN) Dubai contractor Kele Contracting won a contract to build a multi-storey car parking facility for Dragon Mart as part of an expansion drive, Arabian Business reported.
Dragon Mart is a retail complex hosting various retail outlets, a hypermarket, cinema, children’s amusement area, gym and food and beverage venues, and is open for traders in the wholesale and retail business.
The project is being carried out to meet the increasing number of visitors and shoppers expected at the centre once expansion plans at Nakheel’s Dragon Mart is complete.
The gate-controlled car park will add approximately 1,894 parking spaces spread over four storeys as well as underground parking.
Construction of the car park started in the first quarter of this year and is due for completion by the year-end.
Nakheel in August said it planned to more than double the size of the Dragon Mart Mall, which at 1.2km long already makes it the largest trading centre for Chinese products outside mainland China.
