Drake and Skull wins contract in Abu Dhabi

(MENAFN) Drake and Skull announced that its subsidiary Drake & Scull Engineering, the Dubai-based contractor, has won a contract to build a district cooling plant for a housing complex in Abu Dhabi, Arab News reported.
Under the deal, Drake & Scull will design and build a district cooling plant with five chillers of 2,500 tons of refrigeration (TR) capacity for the residential complex, which has 1.357 units ranging from one-bedroom to four-bedroom apartments along with double-story executive villas.
The cooling plant is expected to be delivered by the October-December period of 2015 and then it is expected to have a net production capacity of 12.500 TR.
‘We are excited to note resurgence in the UAE’s construction sector this year and anticipate a sustained momentum as we head toward the last quarter of 2014,’ Managing Director of Drake & Scull Engineering said.
