Drake & Scull’s 2011 income up 36%

(MENAFN) Drake & Scull International (DSI) said that profit for last year jumped by 36 percent to USD59.88 million, reported The National.

The engineering and construction firm added that full-year revenues grew more than two thirds, reaching USD843 million.

DSI, which activities range from civil contracting, mechanical, electrical and plumbing, and water and power projects, including district cooling, also said that order backlog surged 43 percent year-on-year, to a high record of USD1.93 billion.

It is worth noting that in 2011, the Dubai-based firm announced projects awards worth USD1.19 billion, recording an increase of USD272 million over 2010.
