(MENAFN) Drake & Scull International’s (DSI) CEO, Khaldoun Tabari, said that the firm’s subsidiary DSI Abu Dhabi signed a USD46 million deal with United Eastern Medical (UEMedical ) in order to finish mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works for the company’s Danat al Emarat Women & Children’s Hospital, reported Emirates 24/7.
Tabari added that the hospital would be the first planned all digital hospital in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, which would provide critically needed maternity and neonatology services becoming a regional center of excellence in women’s and children’s health.
He also said that the operations on the project would start immediately and the company would expect to deliver the project in November of next year, adding that the company completed several hospital projects in the region including the Mina hospital in Mecca, the Jizan hospital in Jizan and the Rashid hospital and American hospital expansion in Dubai.
It is worth noting that since the beginning of 2011, DSI signed USD925 million contracts.
