10 Jan 2017

(MENAFN) Dubai has allocated USD1.9bn this year for executing infrastructure development and new large-sized high-priority projects, like the water tunnel for the Airport City and Expo 2020 Venue areas.

Additionally, works on these projects, which will be finished by 2019, are 55 percent completed and will be operational before the opening of Expo 2020.

Accordingly, the lion’s share of the volume of spending in the budget for both projects amounted to Dh5bn.

Recently, primary design is being studied, which involves the drilling of two tunnels and the pipelines will be extending up to 13 km.
