Dubai airport’s Feb passenger traffic jumps 19%

(MENAFN) Dubai Airports said that monthly passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport jumped 19 percent in February to 4.561 million passengers, from 3.831 million in 2011’s same period, reported Emirates 24/7.
It added that in the period, the airport recorded a total of 27,058 aircraft movements under review, with an increase of 9.8 percent from last year’s same month of 24,646 movements.
Moreover, in the first 2 months of 2012, aircraft movements rose 9 percent to 56,738, compared to 50,031 recorded during 2011’s first 2 months.
It is worth noting that cargo volumes went up 6.5 percent in February to 157,492 tons, from 147,937 tons in the same period a year earlier.
