Dubai Aluminum’s 2009 sales hit record

(MENAFN) A senior official at Dubai Aluminum Company Limited (Dubal) said that the company has sold a record 1,001,257 metric tons of cast primary aluminum products internationally in 2009, Khaleej Times reported.
He pointed out that nearly 24 percent of the total volume was shipped to Europe, maintaining Dubal’s market share in the region.
The official attributed the record sales to a number of factors, notably a concerted effort by Dubal to support its customers throughout the downturn via initiatives such as altering the supply chain.
He also highlighted placing consignment stock in warehouses closer to customers and developing creative solutions for order placement and delivery; and availing flexible credit options.
