(MENAFN) Dubai Customs said in a report that trade between the emirate and France hit $1.79 billion during the first three quarters of the current year, up from $1.71 billion, year on year, registering a 4.5 percent jump, Trade Arabia reported.
During the mentioned period, imports from France amounted to 92 percent of the total trade or $1.66 billion, whereas Dubai direct exports to France totaled $36.5 million, and re-exports registered $116.5 million, revealed the report.
Official data showed that perfumes are the most prominent export, amounting to 10 percent of the total; while ceramic, is one of the most prominent direct Dubai exports to France.
Dubai Customs have held talks with a delegation from the French General Consulate that aim at fostering co-operation in a number of fields that include protection of intellectual property, training and exchange of knowledge and experience.
