(MENAFN) Estimates from Dubai International Airport showed that October”s passenger traffic increased 2.7% over the same month the previous year, to reach 6.4 million, and passenger numbers at DXB have increased 6.8% to 69.3 million compared to 64.9 million registered during the first ten months of 2015.
In details, the highest increase in incoming passengers was from Eastern Europe, with an increase of more than 25% due to additional capacity and new services launched by a number of airlines, followed by South America 9.9%, Asia 8.2% and the Indian Subcontinent 6.7%.
Accordingly, India remained the top destination country, followed by the UK and Saudi Arabia.
