(MENAFN) Dubai International Airport, now the world�s busiest airport, aims to record passenger traffic of more than 70 million this year, according to Khaleej Times.
Shaikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Emirates airline and Chief Executive of the Emirates Group, said the emirate plans to boost aviation sector�s contribution to the economy up to 32 percent by 2020.
Dubai International Airport became the busiest airport in the world in the first three months of the current year, overtaking London Heathrow, on the back of strong growth by local carriers � Emirates and flydubai.
