(MENAFN) Dubai International saw a 6.2 percent growth in passenger traffic in the first half of 2014 compared to the same period 2013, according to the Emirates 24/7.
Passengers passed through Dubai International Airport during June reached 5,067,726, recording the 18th consecutive month of more than 5 million passengers. However, the number is still lower than the 5,537,908 passengers in June 2013.
A total of 22,031 aircraft movements was recorded during the month under review, down 27 percent from the 30,191 movements recorded in June last year. The fall resulted from a planned reduction in flights as the airport was reduced to a single runway.
