(MENAFN) Dubai Airports’ CEO, Paul Griffiths, announced that last month’s passenger traffic at Dubai International Airport jumped 12.8 percent to 4,780,394, from 4,236,587 in last year’s same period, reported Arabian Business.
Griffiths said that the world’s fourth busiest airport saw a gain of 13.4 percent in year to date traffic to 42,565,340, compared with 37,547,744 in 2011’s same period.
In terms of cargo, the airport handled 193,261 tons in September, representing a rise of 9.1 percent from the 177,128 tons posted a year ago.
It is worth noting that Dubai International’s strongest market in terms of percentage passenger growth was South America.
