(MENAFN) Dubai Municipality said that in 2011, it accomplished a budget surplus of USD571 million, reported Khaleej Times.
The municipality added that the surplus resulted mainly from rationalization of expenses in operational activities, adding that it applied 9 programs for the rationalization of expenses in operational activities, saving USD66.68 million, and in projects saving USD32.66 million.
It also said that in the field of income developments, it applied 4 programs saving USD89.28 million.
It is worth noting that the overall benefits in 2011 totaled USD188.6 million.
