(MENAFN) Dubai would need extra 1.000 hospital beds or seven new hospitals in the coming five years in order to keep pace with the increasing population and meet global standards in the healthcare sector.
Accordingly, JLL report highlighted the chances for investors and other real estate players in the healthcare market across MENA region by 2022.
Recently, Dubai has 2.1 hospital beds for every 1.000 residents, which is way below the target of achieving the Organization for Economic Co-op and Development.
Moreover, clinics and other healthcare facilities, an ageing population and the increase of medical tourism, there is a pressing need for extra healthcare facilities in the region.
