Dubai posts 0.1% hike in November consumer prices

(MENAFN) The Dubai Statistics Centre issued a report showing that the emirates� consumer prices jumped 0.1 percent during November, month on month, driven by an increase of prices in various major spending items, Khaleej Times reported.

The breakdown of the November figures show that the price of food and non-alcoholic drinks rose 0.73 percent; alcoholic drinks and tobacco gained 0.57 percent; furniture, furnishing, household appliances and their repair charges added 0.49 percent. Commodities and a variety of services rose 0.22 percent while transport gained 0.18 percent.

Additionally, telecommunications services rose to 0.01 per cent, while accommodation, water, electricity, gas and fuel fell 0.11 per cent followed by entertainment and cultural services declined 0.04 per cent. The rest of main spending items were stable in November.
