(MENAFN) Dubai unveiled the blueprint for Dubai Food Park, which is the first destination in the Mideast dedicated to serving the food sector and will be enhanced at a cost of USD1.5bn.
Accordingly, the park plans to boost Dubai’s position as a local hub for food trade, import, export and re-export of food stuffs.
In addition, it is located in Dubai Wholesale City and will occupy 48mn square feet, amid 10 minutes” drive from Al Maktoum Intl Airport and 15 minutes from Jebel Ali.
The yearly recent cost of importing food is almost USD100bn and will rise more than four-fold to over USD400bn by 2025 as the population grows.
