(MENAFN) Dubai Refreshments’ general manager, Tarek El Sakka, stated that profits of the bottler of Pepsi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates grew to USD14.3 million in the second quarter, from USD10 million in 2011’s same period, reported The National.
El Sakka said that the firm’s revenues jumped 14 percent during the period, reaching USD79.74 million.
The general manager added that during the January-June period, profits surged 44 percent to USD24.11 million, while sales grew 14 percent to USD138.53 million.
The company increased its exports to countries around the Middle East and Africa, and now exports its products to more than 30 countries.
It is worth noting that in 2013, Dubai Refreshments will launch a new USD136 million bottling facility in Dubai Investments Park that would supply the firm with its needs for the coming 50 years.
