(MENAFN) Dubai’s Supreme Council of Energy (SCE) stated that it would form start working by a gas strategy inn 2012 which aims at mitigating hiking energy demand in the emirate, reported Arabian Buisness.
The SCE said that the plan would be launched in the second quarter of 2012 under the emirate’s Integrated Gas Strategy 2030.
The SCE is responsible for ensuring energy supplies in the emirate where increasing demand for cooling and desalinated water are major drivers for rapidly rising electricity use.
It is worth noting that Dubai is one of the highest per capita of consumers of water and electricity in the world.
