(MENAFN) Dubai Statistics Centre said that jobless rate amongst the emirate’s residents plunged 50 percent in 2011 from 2009, reported Emirates 24/7.
The agency added that non-Emaratis working in Dubai and living outside it accounted for 33.7 percent of the total labor force of the emirate, which is around 2 million.
It also said that 79.5 percent of the 1,331,581 Dubai residents were aged 15 years and above in 2011.
Moreover, nearly 59.2 percent of Emirati males are working, compared with 31.4 percent of Emirati females.
It is worth noting that the number of people without jobs in 2011 totaled just 5,632.
