Dubai’s cosmetics trade reaches USD 5.57bn in 2015

(MENAFN) Trade of perfumes and cosmetics in Dubai touched USD 5.57bn last year, posting a 25 percent increase rate in the 2011-2015 periods.

Additionally, the emirate imported USD 3.32bn worth of cosmetics and perfumes, whereas the value of exports and re-exports to Middle Eastern countries was USD 0.5bn.

France was Dubai’s main trading partner, which exported USD 0.82bn worth of fragrances and cosmetics to Dubai last year, accounting for 15 percent of whole imports.

Moreover, perfumes were the largest product group of Dubai’s foreign trade, which reached USD 1.61bn, trailed by color cosmetics and make-up at USD 0.87bn.
