(MENAFN) Dubai-based Drake & Scull International (DSI) said it won a total of USD354 million contracts in the MENA during the first quarter, Bloomberg reported.
The construction firm also said it sees its Qatari unit increasingly adding to the growth of the company, especially with the recent establishment of its rail and civil divisions which will complement its existing mechanical, electrical, plumbing and water power operations.
DSI’s won contracts in the quarter include USD38 million contract to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works for the Rocco Forte Hotel in Jeddah, and a major unspecified contract in Algeria worth USD230 million.
DSI also won a USD27 million contract to provide an intake water system for a thermal power station in Orissa, India.
